Indirect Antiglobulin Test (IAT)

Overview

Specimen Requirements

Analytical Method

After 37 °C incubation (tube with LISS/PEG, or gel/solid-phase equivalents), cells are washed (tube) and AHG is added. Agglutination indicates IgG binding. Gel cards embed AHG in the matrix.
