Section: Learning Objectives
Each objective is an everyday molecular laboratory quality skill, not a full accreditation curriculum.
- Define method verification as confirming that an established molecular method performs as expected in your laboratory before patient use
- Distinguish method verification from method validation (introductory), routine QC, calibration, and lot-to-lot checks
- State that patient testing begins only after verification (or validation, when required) is complete and documented per institutional process
