Each objective below describes a competency you will apply in the blood bank, not rote definitions in isolation.
- Explain how red-cell antigens and plasma antibodies interact to produce visible agglutination in blood bank testing
- Describe the purpose of common testing phases (immediate spin, 37 °C, and antiglobulin) without performing full antibody identification
- Grade agglutination from 0 to 4+ and state why consistent grading and documentation protect transfusion safety
