Adsorption binds antibody onto antigen-positive red cells, depleting that specificity from plasma so remaining alloantibodies can be detected or units crossmatched.

Specimen Requirements
- Specimen: whole blood (EDTA preferred for most typing, screens, and crossmatches)

Analytical Method
