Each objective describes a bench interpretation competency, not isolated memorization of organism lists or stain colors.
- Map major bacterial structures (envelope, cytoplasm, appendages) to laboratory-visible or laboratory-useful phenotypes
- Relate envelope architecture to Gram reaction expectations and common stain-quality pitfalls
- Use structural features (capsule, flagella, spores, cell wall) as interpretive clues without over-calling clinical significance
