- Map ABO phenotypes (A, B, AB, O) to expected red-cell antigens and plasma antibodies using Landsteiner’s law
- Explain the roles of A, B, and H antigens in forward typing logic and why reverse typing must correlate before a group is released
- State why ABO-incompatible RBC transfusion is clinically catastrophic and how the laboratory prevents issue through forward/reverse concordance and SOP-guided discrepancy workup
